Friendship, love, and joy are the words woven into this whimsical shawl. It’s designed in collaboration with Little Skein’s line of knitting kits influenced by children’s novels, and is inspired by Charlotte’s Web, a beautiful story about finding love, growing up, and saying goodbye.

The delicate spiderweb lines are made with slipped stitches, as is the two-color section meant to evoke Charlotte’s 514 children ballooning in the wind. This creates a beautiful stitch pattern without the need to work two strands of yarn at a time.

The shawl is knit down and out from the center of the top edge, with increases at the center and sides. It’s finished with a garter stitch border.

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Luxury Sock by Sunshine Yarns (nylon, cashmere & merino wool; 113g/385yds): 2 Skeins, 1 of each color.  Shown in Radiant and Charlotte

ALTERNATE YARN: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 2 Skeins, 1 of each color.  Sock is a plied light fingering weight yarn with the most decadent and saturated colors with slight mottling due to the dyeing process.  While this may knit up with less density, the colors makes this a wonderful selection with the easy care of Superwash Merino Wool.

ALTERNATE YARN: Cumbria Fingering by Fibre Co. (60% Merino Wool / 30% Masham Wool / 10% Mohair; 100g/328yds): 2 Skeins Color A & 2 Skeins Color B.  This luxurious option will leave your fingers happy and your shoulders warm.  Super soft merino wool and mohair provides a lovely sheen, slight halo and longevity to your garment.  PRE-ORDER now available in any 2 colors.  Please allow at least 10 business days for your order to arrive at your location.
