This super sized cabled blanket is knit on your arms (without the use of needles) and can be found in a very innovative and fun book called Knitting without Needles: A Stylish Introduction to Finger & Arm Knitting by Anne Weil. The supersized cables are an easy, traditional pattern to make with an unexpected, modern twist. Simply use a cardboard tube or scrap of thick yarn to hold your cables as you knit.
Anne Weil includes wonderful photo tutorials and written instructions with her patterns so that even the novice can make all of her patterns. Please visit her site at Flax & Twine to see video tutorials and more lovely patterns!
Kit includes Knitting without Cables (pattern inside) and selected yarn. Cardboard tube (cable needle) is not included, but a simple paper towel roll or toilet paper roll should work beautifully. All selections are available for PRE-ORDER. Please allow at least 10 business days for shipping. Contact us before placing order for color availability.

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Bulky by Blue Sky Fibers (50% Alpaca / 50% Wool; 100g/45 yds): 24 Skeins. 3 strands held together. Click here to view full catalog of colors. This wonderfully scrumptious yarn will not disappoint due to its ultra soft hand and strong construction.
ALTERNATE YARN: Burly Spun by Brown Sheep Company (100% USA Wool; 226g/132yds): 9 Skeins. 3 strands held together. Made from 100% USA wool in many natural, heathered, and solid colors. Burly Spun is an extremely rugged, strong yarn with a nice woolen hand. It is not as soft as Merino Wool but is available in beautiful colors.
ALTERNATE YARN: Magnum by Cascade Yarns (100% Peruvian Highland Wool; 250g/123 yds): 9 Skeins. 3 Strands held together. Magnum is a soft, gently spun single-ply yarn. Please note that it sheds substantially while knitting.
ALTERNATE YARN: Outer by Spud & Chloë (65% Superwash Wool / 35% Certified Organic Cotton; 100g/60yds): 18 Skeins. 3 Strands held together. This is a great selection for warmer climates because of the cotton content. The cotton allows the blanket to breathe while the wool holds in just enough heat to make this a practical blanket despite its thickness. The vibrant colors will make this blanket a work of art!
