Yarn Loop is pleased to add kits for the Geographer's Sweater from Knitscene Spring 2017. The Geographer's Sweater is built on one of Europe's favorite yarns, Silky Wool. This tweedy DK weight yarn shows off all of the lace patterning, garter stitch cuffs and hems, and comes in a huge variety of beautiful colors.
The body of this pullover is worked in the round from the lower edge to the underarm, then the front and back are worked separately back and forth. After the shoulders are seamed, sleeve stitches are picked up and the sleeve cap is shaped with short-rows. The sleeve is then worked in the round from the top down.
