DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Skinny Wool by Be Sweet (100% Merino Wool; 25g/180yds): 10 (12, 13, 14, 15, 17) skeins MC, shown in Dark Blue Plum as well as Capra by Mango Moon (70% Mohair / 30% Silk; 25g/270yds): 2 Skeins CC1 shown in Chai. These yarns have been discontinued. Please select from the following.
ALTERNATE YARN: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 4 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) Skeins MC -AND- Lace by Manos del Uruguay (70% Baby Alpaca / 25% Silk/ 5% Cashmere; 50g/439yds): 2 skeins CC1. This combination will be a more durable garment than the designer specified Skinny Wool because Sock is a plied yarn. The plies add strength to the finished garment and resist pilling. The Manos Lace yarn will provide a slightly fuzzy collar, similar to the original yarn although less pronounced.
ALTERNATE YARN: Sock Yarn by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 4 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) Skeins MC -AND- Silkpaca by Malabrigo (70% Baby Alpaca / 25% Silk/ 5% Cashmere; 50g/439yds): 2 skeins CC1. This combination is the most affordable but will have a very faint hazy collar since it lacks the cashmere.
