DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Bare Naked Wools Kent DK (60% Merino Wool / 40% Romney Wool; 113g/300 yds): white sand (MC), 4 (4, 5, 5, 5, 6) skeins; mussel shell (CC), 1 skein.
ALTERNATE YARN: New Mexico Organic by Green Mountain Spinnery (100% Organic Fine Rambouillet Wool; 58g/180 yds) 6 (7, 8, 9, 9, 10) Skeins MC, 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2) Skeins CC. This 100% natural yarn is very soft and grown in New Mexico. This yarn may be slightly loftier than Kent DK due to a lesser twist, but is a wonderful match to the original. PRE-ORDER now available. Please contact us for pricing and availability. Only available in 2 natural colors.
ALTERNATE YARN: Sonoma by Baah Yarns (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/234yds): 5 (6, 7, 7, 7, 8) Skeins MC & 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2) Skeins CC. Use Natural and Alcaucil to match images. Rios will knit up as a denser fabric than the images below because it is a heavier (worsted weight) yarn; however, it will do beautifully at the gauge recommended by the designer. This wonderfully soft yarn is superwash with easy care instructions and should not felt. Please follow all instructions that come with the yarn and wash/soak yarn prior to making garment to help prevent bleeding.
ALTERNATE YARN: NatureSpun Worsted by Brown Sheep Co. (100% American Wool; 100g/245yds): 5 (5, 5, 6, 7, 8) Skeins MC & 1 Skein CC. NatureSpun Worsted grown and made in the USA. While not as fine as the others, this workhorse yarn is easy on your budget and available in wonderful colors! This is a Light Worsted Weight yarn and will create a slighly denser fabric than illustrated. Available in all colors. Please PRE-ORDER if the color combination you prefer is not listed, and allow at least 5 business days for shipping to your location.
