About Mirasol -Sumptuous yarns are a luxury that you can afford when selecting Mirasol, a Fair Trade company from Peru which dedicates a portion of every sale to education by funding a school in the remote region of Puno where many shepherds and their families reside.  Mirasol fibers are sourced from the Peruvian Andes and come in a range of stunningly vibrant colors that are delightful to knit. The irresistible softness will provide garments with the best quality so you will never want to wear anything else, and due to its longevity, you'll never have to!

Peru’s heritage and culture of textiles artistry is one of the richest in the world. It all begins in the highlands where Alpaca and Wool shepherds tender their animals in the Peruvian Sierra, growing the fine hair and wool that helps to create beautiful and soft yarns for hand knitting.  All of this luxury comes with the extra benefit of knowing that each purchase contributes to schools for children of Peruvian alpaca shepherds.
