Welcome to the Fall 2026 Malabrigo Knit Along! The Hygge Shawl takes the comfort of simple stitches and transforms them into a cozy favorite piece. Its quite beauty is created by classic techniques, structure, whimsy, and a flow-state style knit. Made of Caprino yarn, a luxurious blend of merino wool and cashmere, this shawl is delectably soft and delightfully warm on a cold winter day.
The pattern was designed by Jill Tamminen from Knit Sisu, and she will also host this Malabrigo KAL with weekly Zoom meetings. using the delectable Caprino yarn.

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Caprino by Malabrigo (80% Merino Wool / 20% Cashmere; 50g/164 yds): 2 Skeins in each Color A, B & C. Shown in colors Pascal, Pearl & Neverland. To see all in stock colors, please click the link above.
ALTERNATE YARN: Arroyo by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/335yds): 3 Skeins, 1 of each color. Use Arroyo if you would like a bit of color variegation from the kettle-dyed, Peruvian, superwash yarn without cashmere. The colors are spectacular and will astound even the tried and true knitter.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 41" Wingspan x 49" along Centerline
YARDAGE: 950-984 yds total
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate- shaping, color changes, weaving in ends
NEEDLES: Size US 6 / 4mm straight or circular needles depending upon preference. Use proper needle size to obtain gauge.
OTHER TOOLS: Tapestry Needle
GAUGE: 22 sts x 32 rows = 4" in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking
