Here be dragons, or so says the legend – though when you climb the Drachenfels hill today, you’ll find the ruins of an ancient stronghold.  Stave off the chill wind with this cozy shawl, which pays homage to the dragon of lore with a slipped garter colorwork pattern that hints of scales.

Drachenfels is worked in garter stitch from tip to edge, then neatly finished with anI-cord bind-off.  Asymmetrical increases create an elongated triangle shape, and lovely merino wool will keep you toasty warm on your journey.

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Cheeky Merino Joy by Rosy Green Wool (100% Merino Wool; 100g/350yds): 1 Skein in each of 3 colors.  Shown in Coffee Bean, Wild Mallow, & Ruby.

ALTERNATE YARN: O-Wash Sport by O-Wool (100% Washable Organic Merino Wool; 100g/303yds or MINIS: 20g/60yds): 1 Skein + 1 Mini in Colors A & C, 1 Skein Color B.  Organic merino wool treated using GOTS certified processes to create a washable wool without the trauma & chemicals of superwash.  Milled, spun & dyed in the Northeastern USA.  PRE-ORDER now available in all colors.
