Brioche ribs change color in a swirl around a simple cowl, letting one tweedy color of Marla share the spotlight with a semi-solid Sami. The technique is much easier than it looks: all it takes is moving a ring marker over a couple stitches every few rounds.

Marla is made from 2 strands of lighter-weight yarn that have been dyed separately and then plied together. When worked, Marla creates a marled fabric with uniquely distributed colors, Sami, the semi-solid DK-weight sister to Marla, has a palette of 21 coordinating colors!

Marla is hand dyed by women artisans in Manos cooperatives in Uruguay's countryside & is a Fair Trade yarn.

Kit includes FREE pattern (pdf & printed pattern) and selected yarn as described below.  For Complimentary Pattern, please click here to download from Fairmount Fibers.
