Cozies are knit with a double strand of worsted weight wool yarn on Size 10 needles and then felted in a washing machine. A ribbed cuff is added post-felting. The pattern includes short rows, picked-up stitches, but no seaming. Comprehensive instructions are provided for how to felt the slippers for an exact fit. Super comfy and warm, Cozies are a quick knit and make a great gift!

 Worsted Weight

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Wool of the Andes Worsted by Knit Picks (100% Wool; 50g/110 yds): 6 (7) Skeins.

ALTERNATE YARN: NatureSpun Worsted by Brown Sheep Co. (100% USA Wool; 100g/245 yds): 3 (3) Skeins.  Durable, strong, staple yarn made 100% in the USA!  Solids & heathers only.  

ALTERNATE YARN: Woolstok by Blue Sky Fibers (100% Peruvian Fine Highland Wool; 50g/123 yds): 5 (6) Skeins. Please use color Storm Cloud to closely match the slippers in the images.  This heathered and soft wool comes from Peru and is wonderfully soft, but not as soft as merino wool.  Very durable and can be knit several times without any fraying, just like NatureSpun.  Heathering adds extra depth and different colored "hairs" in the finished slippers.  PRE-ORDER now available in any color.  Please allow an extra 7 business days for your PRE-ORDER to arrive at your location.

ALTERNATE YARN: Merino Worsted by Malabrigo (100% Merino Wool; 100g/210yds): 3 (4) Skeins.  Felts beautifully & is so cuddly soft due to the luxurious merino wool!   Merino Worsted is available in subtle to wildly variegated colors.
