This sport weight crochet top has delicate details that make it ultra feminine yet easy to wear.  Side slits, graduated lacework, and gently tapered armholes make for a very flattering fit on most body types.  Simply slide over your favorite camisole or slip dress and throw on a big floppy hat for the perfect look to a garden party.  Worked from the bottom up and seamed.

"Armholes are shaped by skipping stitches at the end of rows. The “steps” created by this method of shaping are filled in with hdc-dec stitches during finishing.  Because RS and WS look very similar, it may be useful to place a removable marker into the fabric on the RS to easily identify the RS from the WS."

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Serena by Manos del Uruguay (60% Baby Alpaca / 40% Pima Cotton; 50g/170yds): 4 (5, 5, 6, 7, 7) Skeins.  Shown in Raspberry.  Serena has a wonderfully soft, delicate hand while the plied yarn is strong and beautiful.  This is a yarn to fall in love with due to its excellent construction and gorgeous colorways.

ALTERNATE YARN: Nieva by Mirasol (40% Pima Cotton / 30% Extrafine Baby Alpaca / 30% Merino Wool; 75g/278 yds): 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5) Skeins.  Nieva is a beautifully heathered yarn with excellent drape.  

HOOKS: Size US C-2 / 2.75mm  & US G-6 / 4mm crochet hooks, or size needed to obtain gauge
