Gentle waves crest and ebb on the Langham Smooth Frequency Cowl from Malabrigo's Book 14: Mechita & Sock.  Simple colorwork and the use of short rows create the waves.  Designed for intermediate knitters.

 Sock/Fingering Weight

RECOMMENDED YARN: Mechita by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/420yds): 1 Skein Main Color & 1 Skein CC (contrasting color).  Shown in Paris Night & Natural.  Mechita is a single ply yarn, super soft merino yarn which is perfect for low abrasion items like cowls & hats.

RECOMMENDED YARN: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 2 Skeins Main Color (MC) & 1 Skein Contrasting Color (CC).  Sock is a multi-plied yarn that shows excellent stitch definition and does well in all garments.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 20" circumference x 9.5" tall
YARDAGE: 840 yds
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate - simple colorowrk & short rows

NEEDLES: Size US 1 / 2.25mm 24" circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
OTHER TOOLS: Stitch markers (6 of Color A, 7 of Color B & 1 Contrasting to marke beginning of round) & Tapestry Needle
GAUGE: 30 sts x 66 rows = 4" in Garter Stitch
