Light and Shadow, a textured tam by Tin Can Knits is the fifth pattern from the charitable Sight of Life e-book. Delicate cables form an interlocking pattern of light and shadow on this textured tam. 100% of the proceeds from this pattern are donated to a big cause.
By purchasing this pattern, you help blind people in Congo DR to see again. A doctor working there, in the poorest country in the world, restores sight for hundreds of people. Check this group to see how the donated income will be used: Sight is Life project.

Worsted or Aran Weight
DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Trinity Worsted by SweetGeorgia Yarns (70% Merino Wool / 20% Cashmere / 10% Silk; 115g/200yds): 1 Skein. Shown in Tumbled Stone & Birch.
ALTERNATE YARN: Rios by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/210 yds): 1 (1) Skein. While Rios does not possess the sheen of cashmere & silk, it does provide beautiful tonal variation due to the kettle dying process and the springy Merino Wool. And if you accidentally wash this in the machine, it is less likely to felt and shrink compared to untreated merino.
