Low tide is a magical time of day. Creatures usually hidden below the waves become visible in tidal pools. The lace in this cardigan mimics the organic patterns left in the sand by the ebbing tide. Due to the flyaway front, this pattern is also suitable for maternity wear and bathing suit cover-ups!  This is one of many patterns from Pacific Knits.  Also available in children's sizes here.

Tin Can Knits has a wonderful blog full of all sorts of tutorials and images.  Please see Choosing Your Sweater Size or go directly to their blog at

Kit includes pattern, selected yarn & buttons for selected size. For yarn winding services, click here.  Pattern includes 12 individual sizes including infant through adult 5XL.  Sizes with similar skein counts have been combined for kit purposes only.

 Light Fingering/Sock or Fingering Weight

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Tosh Sock by Madelinetosh (100% Merino Wool; 395 yds): 3 (3, 4, 4) Skeins.

ALTERNATE YARN: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 2 (3, 3, 4) Skeins.  Malabrigo kettle-dyesdsuperwash merino wool yarn creates subtle to striking variegated colors with lovely tonal variations in the finished garment.  Easy care and made in Uruguay.

ALTERNATIVE YARN: O-Wash Fingering by O-Wool (100% Washable Certified Organic Merino Wool; 100g/394 yds): 2 (3, 4, 4) Skeins.  O-Wash is a GOTS certified compound that holds the fibers of wool in place to prevent felting.  It is not superwash due to this gentler methodology, but it is washable and retains all of the properties of wool where superwash usually looses some of its "wooly hand."  PRE-ORDER now available in all colors.  Please allow at least 6 business days for shipping to your location on all Pre-Ordered yarn.
