LYKKE Blush 24" Fixed Circular needles. LYKKE Blush Interchangeable needle tips are made of strong Birch Wood which is flexible, smooth and light. With their bold character and bright pink patina, the Blush Needles are easy on the hands and vibrant to the eyes. This Resin Impregnated set will not show a hint of wear after weeks of use. The resin fully saturates the birch wood and gives the set its lovely pink sheen and does not wear off! The color is through and through and guaranteed not to stain your project. The resin adds extra strength to the wood while each needle retains its flexibility; this is especially important on the smallest needles to prevent breakage.

A Note from Rachel: I jokingly told my mother-in-law that these were the needles for her because they are so brightly colored that she can't lose them in the couch cushions. Lo & behold, she bought the complete set and loves them!
I like using wooden needles, and I prefer fine-grained wood with ever-so-slight honed tips. I find that the larger grains tend to create nodules around the tip which catches ever so slightly with every stitch, especially on old, well-used needles (like my old bamboo needles). I had to get my hands on these needles to see if they fit my qualifications for strong but flexible cords and the perfect tip for my not always perfect technique (yes, I do occasionally push the needles with my index finger). Birch wood is my favorite due to it's grain structure, too.
