It's never too early to start planning the festivities, especially when it comes to handcrafting the perfect gift like this beautiful holiday inspired blanket by Martin Storey. This stunning heirloom afghan features six holiday inspired Fair Isle squares in several color options. The blanket is made by creating each square using Intarsia and/or Fair Isle techniques to reduce long floats on the back side. The squares are then seamed together an the edging is applied last.
