A soft and sturdy plied sport-weight to light DK weight, Arroyo has quickly become a favorite among knitters! It’s perfect for those everyday lightweight (but warm) garments, and the superwash wool is easy to take care of. Think of it as a Rios’s baby brother! (And speaking of babies, it’s perfect for them too.) Use for a variety of projects including shawls, scarves, accessories, lace, textured stitches, cables, lightweight garments, baby and kids items.
While Malabrigo treats Arroyo as a sport weight yarn, Arroyo gauges to a heavy sport/light DK yarn. Feel well assured that Arroyo can be used for either. Please swatch to make sure your pattern gauge is accurate. Always remember to wash your swatch and allow it to dry before measuring. Some superwash yarns will benefit from drying lightly (not fully) to tighten the gauge since they morph when wet. Please treat your swatch as you would the finished garment.
