From the Abstraction Collection, Contradiction is a slightly heart-shaped triangle shawl featuring broken ribbing and wavy stripes. It is worked from the top down and is fully reversible, written instructions only. The design is suitable for sport to worsted weight yarns; just be sure to adjust your yarn requirements accordingly when making substitutions.
Melanie states, "It is a contradiction for me, because I typically don’t prefer the wrong side look of knitted fabric, but I like it on this shawl!"

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Chicadee in Quince & Co. (100% Wool; 50g/181yds): 2 Skeins Main Color (MC), 1 Skein Color B, 1 Skein Color C. Shown in colors Carrie's Yellow, Sabine & Egret. This yarn has been discontinued.
ALTERNATE SPORT/DK YARN: Arroyo by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/335 yds): 1 skein of each color. Arroyo is a sport/light DK weight yarn that is kettle-dyed in small batches to create beautiful variegations.
ALTERNATE YARN: O-Wash Sport by O-Wool (100% Organic Washable Merino Wool; 100g/304yds): 1 Full Skein MC, Color B & Color C. Beautiful tonal solids dyed & milled in the USA. This yarn has been discontinued and is still available for a short time only.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 60” wingspan x 20.5” tall at centerline, after blocking
YARDAGE: Approximately 285 yds MC, 181 yds Color A & 181 yds Color B
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate - Colorwork
NEEDLES: Size US 5 / 3.75mm 46" or longer circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
